Winter Reading Program is coming soon to a library near you! This winter’s theme, Reading Takes You Everywhere, can take you anywhere you want to go! Starting on January 1, you can submit your reading minutes online to be entered for a Grand Prize.

You can also participate in other draws and contests like Friday 15 and the Snow Art Contest, and you can check your local library to find out what else is going on this winter!

what is the age grop for this program

Alliah from NLLS

To Shane's comment - sorry I took this long to get back to you! The NLLS Winter Reading Program is for all ages - we have different prizes for each age group, including adults. Your local library might be running their own programs as well for Winter Reading, and you'd have to check with them directly to find out what they're running and who it's aimed at.

I received my Innisfree Informer today and was interested in participating in the Reading Takes You Everywhere Contest, the Friday 15, and Snow Art, but unfortunately none of the links are available/working on the library website, or the link that was provided in the newsletter. Could you please provide me information on these events please? Thank you ! Frauke “Fro “ Young

To Frauke's comment - thank you for taking the time to find out, and we're so glad you're interested! We are having domain issues with the nllsreadingprograms.ca website, so the best way to participate in the program is to use the direct links to the submission forms while we get the site figured out. The forms should have most of the information you need. To submit your the reading minutes for the big contest: bit.ly/nlls-log-your-reading To submit your Friday 15: bit.ly/nlls-friday-15 To submit to the Snow Art contest, you can submit your entry directly to your local library, and they will make sure it gets where it needs to be! There aren't many rules - just submit a photo of your snow art, along with a title, and it will go on the website for popular voting in February. The prize for the most popular snow art is a snow-painting and snowman making kit. The Snow Art contest is taking entries until the end of January, though, so you can also submit directly on the website as soon as it's back up.
