What you need to know about the December 8, 2020 announcement for public libraries; the new mandatory measures mean that Saturday, December 12 will be the last opportunity for the public to visit their library in person. Libraries must close at 12:01 am Sunday, December 13 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Your library will continue to support the community through its e-resources offered by the Northern Lights Library System and the provincial e-content - you can find the resources on the library's website under the 'eResources' menu item. A wide range of e-resources are available through your library from reading materials such as books, magazines, newspapers, audiobooks, learning resources, and so much more. The e-resources have something for all ages and is available for free with your library card any time of day. If you need assistance with learning more about using e-resources please visit Niche Academy tutorials for further assistance.
Digital accessible formats through both NNELS and CELA continue to be available to patrons with a print disability. The library may also be offering virtual programs, contactless curbside pickup, or other services. Today the interlibrary loan (ILL) lending service, Relais is suspended, but you can still request material via TRACpac.
Please visit your library's website and social media for up to date information.
