In addition, we are happy to say that the NLLS Board has endorsed the UN Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples! The 2017 Annual Northern Lights Library System's Conference registration is now open! The theme of this year's conference is "Canada & Libraries as One", and it is taking place September 14th & 15th.  Northern Lights Library System received a donation of $3,500 from Cenovus Energy Inc. This grant will be used in the 2016 Winter Reading Program. We thank Cenovus for its generosity.

Northern Lights Library System received a donation of $20,000 from Enbridge Pipelines Inc. This grant will be used in the server upgrade project. This year, NLLS is going to upgrade the servers. Erica Parker, who is an Alberta-based stakeholder relations team lead with Enbridge, heard about our needs and encouraged NLLS to apply for one of the community investment grants that Enbridge distributes as a way to strengthen and enhance the NLLS community.
