Want to brighten up your Monday? Join us to sing a few songs. We welcome participants to bring songs that they want to sing with the group and we will have some too. This is just about singing for the joy of it. See you then.

Do you remember hearing and enjoying plays on the radio when you were growing up? Ever wonder how sound effects are made? Would you like to try acting in a play, using only your voice, and not having to memorize a word? Would you like to participate in a group activity that doesn’t require a level of physical fitness or mobility beyond your normal daily life?

If you said yes to any of the above, you are ready to try Reader’s Theatre, which requires NO props or costumes, NO special movements or previous acting experience, NO memorizing lines, and EVERYONE has a part to play.

This drop-in activity is planned to run regularly at the Seniors Centre on Monday afternoons from 2:00-3:30 resuming January 9^th and running until May 19th, 2023. It is anticipated there may be several groups formed, depending on numbers of interested participants. Plays will be read just for the fun of reading.

Professional leadership will be provided by Cheryl Andrews who is the Program Facilitator at the Alice B. Donahue Library. Cheryl is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s Fine Arts program in Drama.

Would you like to try acting in a play, using only your voice, and not having to memorize a word? Would you like to participate in a group activity that doesn’t require a level of physical fitness or mobility beyond your normal daily life?

If you said yes to any of the above, you are ready to try Reader’s Theatre, which requires NO props or costumes, NO special movements or previous acting experience, NO memorizing lines, and EVERYONE has a part to play.

This drop-in activity is planned to run regularly at the Seniors Centre on Monday afternoons from 2:00-3:30 resuming January 9^th and running until May 19th, 2023. It is anticipated there may be several groups formed, depending on numbers of interested participants. Plays will be read just for the fun of reading.

Professional leadership will be provided by Cheryl Andrews who is the Program Facilitator at the Alice B. Donahue Library. Cheryl is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s Fine Arts program in Drama.

Storytime is an hour filled with stories, rhymes, songs, crafts and fun for 3-5 year olds. Join us on Monday or Tuesday mornings.

*While this program is geared towards ages 3-5, younger children are welcome to register and participate as well. Children under the age of 3 will require a parent/guardian to stay.

Infant massage is a wonderful way for parents to bond with their newborns and growing babies. Infant massage promotes feelings of relaxation and well-being in both you and your little one. This can help strengthen your bond and deepen your connection with your baby.

English Language Learners Family Rhyme & Read meets on Wednesdays from 1-2pm in the Library basement starting March 22 and running to May 31.

Come meet new families & improve your children's English speaking and reading abilities!

Pakan School students are encouraged to join us afterschool from 3:30 - 5:00pm for a reading program. This program is aimed to help them reach a love of reading and higher reading levels, a vital life skill. 

Parents will need to complete a consent form in order for their child to attend.
