iPhone/iPod Touch Application

On March 2, 2009, TRAC released its iPhone/iPod Touch Application. This Application provides users with acces to over 3 million books, DVDs and other material on thier mobile devices. TRACpac for iPhone and iPod Touch includes these features

• Search for books, CDs and DVDs by keyword, title, author or ISBN
• Check book reviews by other visitors
• Shortcuts to view the top 10 fiction and non-fiction books
• View book details such as jacket image, summary, published by and publication date
• Visit the TRACpac website
• Patrons of a TRAC affiliated library can:
• Place holds on books, CDs, DVDs and other material for pick-up at your local library
• View hold details and cancel a hold
• Display your account barcode on iPhone or iPod Touch for easy check-out
• View any charges, fee and fines

The iPhone/iPod Touch Application is available for free in the iTunes store

Northern Lights is proud to host online training sessions on a variety of topics.  Please visit http://nlls.webex.com to register for a scheduled class or email trainer@nlls.ab.ca to request/suggest training for specific topics not currently offered.

Each session will be limited to 10 connecting sites.  You are welcome to crowd around one phone and computer if you have more than one person at the library who needs or wants the training.  If you do have more than one person at a session please choose one person to act as the spokesperson (ie for asking questions etc).

How do I register?

2. Browse available sessions for the one you want.
3. Click the register link and follow the instructions (Please ensure that your email address is corr
4. Please register each participant from your library.
5. After the session please click here to fill out our survey
   *If the survey has already been filled out on the computer you are using you will have to clear your internet browser's cache before you can fill it out again. Click here to find instructions how to do that.

Each session will run approximately 1.5 hours - come armed with your questions.
